Empowering Indigenous and rural youth with hands-on training in engineering design and drafting, creating pathways to meaningful careers in Alberta's engineering industry.
Beaver Hills Community Empowerment Ltd. is a registered non-profit organization established in 2024 under the Companies Act of Alberta. We are dedicated to breaking down barriers to employment in the engineering and consulting sector.
Our name honors the beaver—Amisk in Cree—which symbolizes determination, hard work, and the ability to transform one's environment. These qualities reflect both the spirit of the youth we serve and the skilled professionals they are becoming.
Land Acknowledgment: We acknowledge that our office in Sherwood Park is located on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional gathering place and home for many Indigenous peoples including the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, and Nakota Sioux. We honor the ongoing connection of Indigenous peoples to this land and are committed to supporting Indigenous youth in building prosperous futures.
